About this product

What shallow block drains are used for

A shallow drain takes surface water off a compound, a driveway or an estate road and carries it to a soak area or a main drain. Because the section is shallow it needs far less excavation than a deep channel, which makes it the practical choice on a finished compound.

It is the usual answer to water ponding on a cabro driveway or running across a gateway in the rains.

Common questions

How is a shallow drain different from a channel drain?

A shallow drain sits near the surface and needs little excavation. A channel drain is deeper, carries more water, and usually needs a concrete bed and a cover where it is crossed.
