Fence length in metres divided by 2.4, plus one end post. A 100 metre boundary takes about 42 intermediate posts plus end and corner posts.
Add a straining post at every corner and at each end of a run.
Set in concrete footings along the fence line. Available supply-only, or supply and install.
5 ft and 6 ft posts are held in stock. 8 ft and cranked posts take 3 to 5 working days. Collection from the Ngong yard or delivery by the load.
Preco’s own quantity rule works on 2.4 metre spacing: divide the fence length in metres by 2.4 and add one end post.
Concrete posts do not rot and are not attacked by termites, so they hold a fence line far longer than timber in Kenyan conditions.
