About this product

What road kerbs are used for

Precast kerbstones that edge and retain paving, driveways and roads while directing surface water. Cast to consistent profiles for a clean, durable line.

Typical applications are roads, driveways and estate developments. Kerbs are also used to restrain the edge of a cabro driveway, which is what stops the blocks creeping outwards under traffic.

How many kerbstones you need

Run length in metres divided by 0.9 gives the number of kerbstones. A 40 metre driveway edge works out at about 45 kerbstones.

Allow a margin for cuts at corners and for breakages in handling.

Laying and installation

Kerbs are bedded and haunched on a concrete foundation to a string line. Available supply-only, or supply and lay by our own team.

Delivery and lead times

Straight kerbs are held in stock. Corners, specials and large runs take 3 to 5 working days. Collection from the Ngong yard or delivery by the load.

Common questions

How many kerbstones are in a metre?

A Preco kerbstone is 915 mm long, so a metre of run takes about 1.1 kerbstones. Divide your run length in metres by 0.9 to get the count.

Can road kerbs be used to edge a cabro driveway?

Yes. An edge restraint is what keeps laid cabro from spreading under traffic, and a kerb bedded on concrete is the usual way to provide it.
